We have a variety of advanced algorithms in place for searching and identifying the best routes for multimodal container transport, in order to revolutionize the container logistics industry. Our team constantly seeks ways to improve our systems to handle large data sets. We are frequently consulted for data analysis and enjoy the freedom to innovate as we see fit. Our team hails from Italy, Greece, Norway, and - most exotic of all - Brabant. We are looking for a Java/Kotlin developer with AWS experience who sees software as a means to achieve business goals. Experience with geo- and pathfinding algorithms is a plus, but we're also open to candidates willing to learn on the job. Most importantly, we value a personal connection with our team members. If you join us, expect extensive coffee-drinking sessions, edgy jokes, and occasional discussions about random philosophical topics that interest us at the moment.

Your role
As a backend developer, you will:

• Maintain and optimize the back-end systems and infrastructure powering Routescanner’s platform.
• Develop and implement new features and functionality based on business requirements and your own new ideas.
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to solve logistics challenges.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance while handling large datasets.
